 You couldn't bare the pain in your chest, you wanted to cry your heart out but you held back your tears as you walked towards the park.

 When you got there, you let yourself fall on the cold, soft grass and let all your pain out in tears. Suddenly, you saw a shadow approach you and you felt a warm, gentle hand on your back.

 "Why are you crying?" Kiku asked as he sat beside you.

 "I-I... He..." You stuttered. "Kiku, he..."

 "Did he do it again?" Inquired Kiku concerned. You just nodded and kept crying.

 He pulled you into a loving hug and stroked your back.

 "(Name)..." He muttered against your hair. You just hiccuped and looked up with puffy eyes. "Why do you keep doing this to yourself?"

 "I... I don't know... I don't think I can do better..." You started sobbing again. He cupped your face with both hands and gave you the sternest look you had ever seen.

 "(Name), don't you ever say something like that again." He said. "You deserve a lot better than this."

 "N-No, Kiku, not anymo-more..." You sobbed. "I'm b-broken... H-He broke m-me..."

 He sighed and hugged you again. "(Name)... Do you know what 'kintsukuroi' is?"

 You shook your head as you rested in his warm embrace.

 "It is the art of repairing a broken piece of pottery with gold..." He continued. "...And realising it's more beautiful for having been broken."

 At this, he hugged you tighter and brought your face up so your eyes met. "(Name)..." He whispered as your lips almost touched. "Please allow me to be the gold that holds you together..."

 Your eyes-widened at this, not fully understanding until you saw him close his eyes and bring his lips to yours. The warmth and softness made you melt in his hands as you shyly held his shoulders, making him smile at your acceptance.

 When you pulled away, he stared into your eyes lovingly and stroked your cheek.

 "Thank you..." You both said in sync, resting your foreheads on eachother's, both with your eyes closed.

 The evening slowly welcomed the moon into the sky as you enjoyed the comfortable silence in his gentle embrace, forgetting about anything that wasn't your new lover.
